Welcome to The Walnut Street House! We are a home business owned and operated by myself, Tricia Glasgow and my husband Kevin.
Our business started years ago where I was making kids name plaques using my Xyron Silhouette (got it as soon as it came out!!), scrapbook paper & modgepodge.
My sister in law who has a craft show in Bossier City, LA talked me into coming to her show and making plaques. So we did and it was fun.
Shortly after I came across vinyl and I thought two things 1. I'm in love and 2. Why hadn't I seen or thought about this before?
So, I got my hands on some scraps of vinyl and stared cutting.
It was way better than paper letters, however, I do miss all the patterns and sometimes go back and use it anyways.
I found a supplier for vinyl and thought I had won the lottery. Now it was time to get a bigger, better machine.
By this time, my sister Billie, who at the time had just came along for the ride, became my parter.
Until then she required no pay, only expected a free ride to Shreveport to see my little sisters, and lunch.
We went into together and bought us a commercial machine and started stocking vinyl a little bit at a time.
We started traveling and doing more and more craft and trade shows.
In August 2010 my husband Kevin joined me in my venture.
We purchased a heat press and started making t-shirts & onesies.
Kevin showed me how to use our machine to it's full potential, apparently I was only using a tiny bit of what all it can do, I'm still learning.
Everyday we are trying to come up with new ideas, new designs, and new products.
